Pamplona is one of Lafayette's favorite restaurants for craft cocktails and casual fine dining by day, but it's also gained a reputation for throwing some of the town's best themed cocktail parties by night. The Aloha from Pamplona! tiki party in 2010 was the one that put Pamplona's after-hours events on the map.

Since patrons were used to dining in their Sunday best, the party needed an off-the-wall invitation to convince regulars and their curious friends that it was ok to shed their button-downs for beachwear. These postcards and promotional t-shirts did the trick, and by the end of the luau revelers were asking what theme was up next.

The event succeeded in drawing in cautious would-be patrons who might otherwise be wary of the upscale dress code, and these seasonal costume cocktail parties have become the restaurant's signature quarterly promotional event and revenue booster.
