STATE OF WORKING MISSISSIPPI
In 2016, the Jesuit Social Research Institute (JSRI) received a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to fund research into the causes of social and economic inequality in the state of Mississippi. Before JSRI representatives presented these findings to the Mississippi state legislature that September, they asked us to help turn their final 100-page word document into a professional and visually appealing report that they'd be proud to present to state lawmakers and share with the media. JSRI's findings struck a chord with residents and state officials alike, and Mississippi legislators have continued to reference this report throughout 2017 in debating changes to state economic and education policies.
