MILLER HALL STAIRWELL REFRESH
The College of Business moved into Miller Hall in 1986, and it's been nearly that long since the main building was renovated. Although the courses and equipment are cutting-edge, most of the interior is worn and dated and because the aging elevator is painfully slow (and often out of order), most students take the stairs.
Unfortunately, one of the darkest and most outdated parts of the building was this windowless 3-floor, 5-level stairwell. When the College of Business recently won national recognition as one of the best business schools in the country, they received an influx of both undergrad and MBA applications and the department asked if there was anything we could do over the summer to brighten up the space for returning students and prospective recruits.
We started with a fresh coat of white paint and all new light fixtures, and then added floor-to-ceiling wall graphics featuring illustrated quotes from famous business leaders.
